World Kindness Day
November 13, 2020
Kindness makes a difference
Kindness should be celebrated every day. It is a gift you can give to everyone, and it is free. Imagine how the world would look like if people would be kind every day. However, people tend to forget how being kind can help someone and themselves too. Blame it on a lot of stress and pressure brought by work and family. Thankfully, one day of the year, kindness is celebrated worldwide; World Kindness Day on November 13.
World Kindness Day is not only a time to show kindness to others, but also appreciate the kindness shown to you.
What are a few ways to show kindness?
During pregnancy and the current pandemic, it is best to continue to practice social distancing and mask/other preventative measures. However, you can show kindness to others in simple ways that do not involve direct interaction with others. You can pay it forward by donating to your favorite charity or maybe even pay for a stranger’s order behind you in line.
You can also create a group chat among you and other pregnant women that you know. This is a helpful way to virtually support and encourage each other or share stories about your pregnancy journeys.
Another way to show kindness is to be kind to yourself. You are doing everything you can do be healthy for both you and your baby. Pamper yourself, surround yourself with people that bring you positive energy, include intentional moments of laughter in your daily routine, or do something that will make you happy no matter how small.
Imagine what the world would look like if each person did one kind thing for someone else. Being kind is a gift that can keep on giving.
